Partner 2015 ended
The four-day Armaments and Military Equipment Fair Partner 2015, which is held every second year at the Belgrade Fair, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia ended last night. On the last day of the fair, which was open to the public, the largest number of visitors was recorded – around 1,500.This year, the fair gathered 116 presenters, national companies and representatives of foreign companies from 18 countries. The visitors had the chance to see complex artillery and missile systems, contemporary artillery arms and ammunition, armoured combat vehicles, electronic equipment, light aircraft, new radars, various training means, protective ballistic equipment, combat patrol vessel, and other.
Partner 2015 was visited by official delegations of Pakistan, Iraq, Russia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, NATO, European Defence Agency, Belarus, Myanmar, Mexico, Slovenia, Algeria, France, Croatia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Zambia, DR Congo, Lebanon, Malawi and Jordan.
On ministerial level, Partner 2015 was visited by official delegations of Pakistan and Iraq, and Deputy Defence Minister of Zambia was also present. Other delegations were also of high level. Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation also visited the fair, and so did representatives of Almaz-Antey and Rosoboronexport. Two delegations came from Brazil, one of which was official – with their Minister of Defence.From NATO, there was the Head of the Department for Policy, Planning and Partnership at the NATO Secretariat, and from the European Defence Agency representatives of the Directorate for European Synergy and Innovation.
- While summing up the first impressions, I have to say, we are beyond satisfied. I have spoken to the presenters that are traditionally present in Partner – national and international representatives – and they are satisfied with the quality and expert knowledge of the visitors in the first official part of the fair. They are also happy with the quality of the interest and the questions they were asked – Major General Dr. Bojan Zrnic, representative of Deputy Minister of Defence for Material Resource and Head of the Defence Technology Department.
General Zrnic stressed the importance and the high level of delegations that had visited the Partner, and especially emphasized the visit of the delegation of Brazil, whose representatives were impressed by the capacity of a small country and industry, which had also had the misfortune of being bombarded.According to him, the next fair should be completed with a day of dynamic display of means at Batajnica airport or in Nikinci, and, as he said, it is undeniable that Partner 2015 has grown so much so far that, with its support and organization, the Belgrade fair has grown as well.
