Enforcing cooperation with Brazil

Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic conferred with the delegation of Brazil headed by Brigadier General Guido Amin Naves, Chief of the Brazilian Army's Project Management Office PMO and envoy of the Brazilian defence minister. The meeting was also attended by MP and Chair of the Budget Commission in the Brazil's National Congress Ricardo Magalhaes Barros who is also chair of the Serbia-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Brazilian Parliament.

Minister Gasic thanked the Brazilian delegation for visiting the 7th International Fair of Armaments and Military Equipment “Partner 2015”, and underscored that Serbia is committed to further strengthening of defence cooperation with Brazil, primarily in the military-economic domain. Gasic should visit Brazil in September, which will offer a chance for improvement of bilateral military cooperation.

Serbia appreciates Brazil's principled support concerning the Kosovo-Metohija issue, Gasic stressed in the talks and added that this is a confirmation of the two countries' traditionally good relations.

Gasic and General Naves agreed that the visit of the Brazilian delegation to the Fair Partner 2015 would encourage development of joint projects in the defence industry sector.
