Meeting with the delegation of the European Defence Agency
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic met today with the delegation of the European Defence Agency, headed by Director for European Synergies and Innovation Denis Roger.
During the meeting, they discussed the present cooperation of the Republic of Serbia with the European Defence Agency and the possibilities for improvement of cooperation in the fields of research and development of arms and military equipment. They paid particular attention to the possibilities of bringing the Serbian defence industries closer to the projects under the auspices of EDA.- The Serbian Government supports the cooperation in the field of defence industry as one of the processes of EU integrations – Djordjevic stressed.
At the end of the meeting, Djordjevic looked back on the present cooperation with EDA, where he stressed the importance of the last year’s visit of Executive Director Claude Arno and the talks with the Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic, when it had been concluded that the cooperation between Serbia and EDA would improve military and defence capabilities of Serbia, and our interoperability with EU member states.
