Defence minister with delegations of Zambia and Pakistan

Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic received today delegations of Zambia and Pakistan, who are staying on a visit to Belgrade on the occasion of the 7th International Armaments and Military Equipment Fair “Partner 2015”.

During the meeting with Christopher Mulenga, Zambia's deputy minister of defence, they discussed the possible development of the bilateral military cooperation. They agreed that the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the field of defence would create a legal framework for future cooperation. Gasic issued an invitation to Zambia's minister of defence to visit Serbia and learn about its defence capacities. Minister of Defence stressed that Serbia highly appreciated Zambia's principled support to Serbia with regard to the Kosovo-Metohija status.

Minister Gasic and Pakistani Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain conferred on fostering cooperation in the field of defence. The talks also tabled the Serbian minister's visit to Pakistan, which is planned to take place this year, with a view to further promoting of the two countries' relations and their military cooperation.
