Expert talks on planning in armed forces
Delegation of the Ministry of Defence headed by Head of Strategic Planning Department of the Defence Policy Sector Brigadier General Slobodan Joksimovic visited the General Planning Directorate of the Federal Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany to discuss planning in armed forces. The interlocutors exchanged practices in the field of defence planning and planning of development of armed forces, with the emphasis on presentation of the system of defence planning of FR Germany. During the talks, the interlocutors addressed the processes, levels, organization, procedures and carriers of planning, and the experiences in the application of the system of defence planning, issues and planned improvements of planning on a strategic level.
Many similarities have been spotted between the integrates planning system of Bundeswehr and the development planning system, i.e. the system of planning, programming, budgeting and conducting in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the end of the visit, it has been proposed that the initiated talks should be continued during the returning visit of the delegation of the General Planning Directorate to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.
