Meeting of State Secretaries of Ministries of Defence of Serbia and Montenegro
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic met with his Montenegrin colleague Bojan Sarkic in Podgorica today, with whom he discussed the bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and regional security challenges.
State Secretary Djordjevic said that the relations between the two countries, including the relations in the field of defence, had a rising trend. - More frequent communications and recognition of fields of joint action are in the mutual interest of both countries, and the entire region – Djordjevic stressed.
State Secretary Sarkic said that he was pleased with the contents and the intensity of cooperation with the Republic of Serbia, particularly with the realization of joint exercises and training in the field of defence. He underlined the importance of quality cooperation between countries in the region, in the spirit of contribution to the foundation and strengthening of mutual trust, and thus the improvement of the regional cooperation and stability in the territory of the Western Balkans.
Sarkic introduced his interlocutor with the dynamics of the implementation of the intensified and focused dialogue on the defence sector.
