Military representatives at the International Conference on Quality



At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, in the course of the International Conference on Quality, a session was held today, dedicated to improvement of quality in the defence industry of the Republic of Serbia and in organizations dealing with production and procurement of arms and military equipment for the needs of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The organizer of the conference is the United Association of Serbia for Quality – JUSK, and the meetings will be held from 1st June to 5th June at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade.

The aim of today’s session was to use the presented papers to provide guidelines for improvement of quality in all segments and in all standards that some organizations have planned to implement, and others have largely implemented.

Presentations were held by representatives of the Military Quality Control and companies of the defence industry of the Republic of Serbia – Prvi Partizan, Uzice, Milan Blagojevic Lucani, Sloboda Cacak and Krusik Valjevo.

Chairman of this year’s session was Colonel Dr. Ivica Marjanovic, Director of the Military Quality Control SMR MO, and he held a significant presentation on the integral approach in the process of production and realization of the product trough monitoring the product lifecycle, especially from the aspect of product management past its due date.

During the session, the new ISO 50001 standard was also mentioned – the energy efficiency that will largely mark the future times.
- All organizations of the Serbian defence industry have begun preparing for the realization of this business activities and the implementation of this standard. Some of them, such as Prvi Partizan Uzice and Sloboda Cacak did a large portion of this work last year, while, for the rest of them, this task will be done in the future. The Military Quality Control will continue keeping track with this through training and education of its staff and will always be prepared to respond to all quality challenges - Colonel Dr. Ivica Marjanovic, Director of the Military Quality Control said.
