Minister Gasic with Krusevac karateists
On the occasion of the most successful year of the Karate Club Krusevac, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic received today young karateists and coach Marko Tomic and presented them with the coat of arms of the Ministry of Defence with an inscription. - Your time is coming, and your successes are important not only for you, but for your city and state as well. There are many champions among you that have invested much work, effort and dedication – Minister Gasic said, thanking the Krusevac athletes for worthily representing their country.
The coach of the young karateists stressed that members of the club had had much success in national competitions for many years, and that they represented Serbia in international championships, pointing out that the club also had athletes that had been European champions for three years, such as 11-year-old Nevena Simic.
- You have done plenty for us as the Mayor of the city, and now, as the Minister of Defence, and our young athletes will do everything to justify the trust and present their country even better – Tomic said, and presented Minister Gasic with a shirt of the club.
This has been the most successful year in the 46 years of the Karate Club Krusevac, and the confirmation of this came last month, when young karateists became junior champions of Europe at the championship in Prague.
