Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan signed with Norway




At the International Military Cooperation Department, Head of the Department Battleship Captain Milan Konjikovac met with the Defence Attaché of Norway Frigate Captain Tore Andersson.

During the meeting, the interlocutors analyzed the present cooperation, discussed possibilities for its improvement, and signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan between the two Ministries for 2015.

Both sides stated that the cooperation in the field of defence is very developed and intensive, which was proven by the continuity of high-level meetings.

Battleship Captain Konjikovac stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of defence with the Kingdom of Norway, which is reflected in expert and financial support for the defence system reform and the large scope of realized activities. He conveyed his content with the cooperation in the fields of military medicine, reform of military education and defence planning. He thanked for the support that the Kingdom of Norway had given for the foundation of the Balkan Military Medical Forces, one of the largest initiatives for connecting the states in the region in the field of defence.

Frigate Captain Andersson stressed that the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan reflected the traditional support for projects of mutual interest that had been carried out for years.
