Exercise Balcan Reponse began



At Car Lazar barracks and Ravnjak training field of CBRN Center in Krusevac, the multinational civilian military exercise “Balkan Response 2015” began, and will last until Friday, 29th May. The theme of the rescue action in contamination conditions caused by terrorist mass destruction weapons and accidents.

balkanski odgovorThe exercise will be attended by MoD and SAF members (from the Military Medical Academy, CBRN Center, 246th CBRN Battalion, Information and Liaison Center), representatives of the Ministry of Interior – Special Anti-terrorism Unit, Fire Battalion Krusevac, Civil Protection Unit of the Emergency Center Krusevac, National Criminal-Technical Center, teams of the Red Cross of Serbia, Krusevac General Hospital, members of the international UN Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and Armed Forces of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Montenegro.

Representatives of Belarus, Brazil, Croatia, Spain, Nigeria, Poland, Hungary, United States European Command and European Defence Agency have the status of observers at the exercise.

Activities during the exercise will not affect local residents in closer or wider area around Ravnjak training field.
