Improving regional military cooperaion
Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Battleship Captain Milan Konjikovac met with Romanian defence attaché Colonel Leontin Ilie.
The goal of the meeting was the analysis of the present cooperation in the field of defence, identification of new fields of cooperation of mutual interest, and signing of the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan between the Ministries of Defence of Serbia and Romania for 2015.Battleship Captain Konjikovac expressed his content with the achieved level of cooperation, which is mostly conducted through joint exercises and training, cooperation of military education institutions, traffic and transportation, exchange of experiences in reforms of the defence system and the support to the Serbia-NATO Defence Reform Group. The pinnacle of the cooperation is the joint exercise of the two Air Forces - Air Solution 2015.
Both sides conveyed content with the qualitative and quantitative improvement of the cooperation, which is also reflected in the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2015, which includes important high-level meetings.
Colonel Ilie agreed that, even in the unfavourable financial conditions, the quality of cooperation in the field of defence had been preserved, underlining the gratitude for professionalism in work displayed by MoD and SAF members.
