SAF Guard members at the Parade of Victors in Moscow
At the Red Square in Moscow, the Parade of Victors was held today on the occasion of marking 70 years since the victory over fascism in WWII. Over 15,000 people participated, and the ceremony was attended by a great number of world leaders, including Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.The SAF elite echelon performed a ceremonial march today at the Red Square, commanded by Guard Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Vukajlovic.
The SAF national echelon consisted of 72 Guard members and a member of the Air Forces General Staff, an Army member and a member of the Training Command.
The SAF national echelon marched in ceremonial blue uniforms with M-59/66 semi-automatic rifles. The SAF members marched on Red Square to the song “Katyusha''.
After the end of the parade, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the commanders of the units that participated in the Parade, including Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Vukajlovic.
