Congratulations by the Minister of Defence on the occasion of the Day of the Guard



With your expertise and professionalism, and exemplary representation of our country and the Serbian Armed Forces in activities of state and military protocol, you have contributed to the improvement of the reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Republic of Serbia, and thus continued the tradition of 185 years when, on George's day, the Prince's Guard was formed by the decree of Prince Milos Obrenovic. Since then, to this day, you have created a modern and functional Armed Forces and proven that you conduct the assigned tasks responsibly.

Assured that you will continue developing the operative capabilities of your unit, and confirm that only the best of the best can be members of our oldest most representative unit, I congratulate all members of the Guard on 6th May – Day of the Unit and christened Slava.
