Anniversary of death of Colonel Milenko Pavlovic marked



Today, 16 years since the death of pilot Colonel Milenko Pavlovic were marked at the monument in Valjevo. He was killed in air combat above the city during the NATO bombing in 1999.

On this occasion, wreaths were laid by members of the Pavlovic family, SAF representatives, Air Force colleagues, representatives of the local self-government, Serbian Police, and association of veterans.

Colonel Dragan Milenkovic, who fought with Colonel Pavlovic in the 204th Air Force Brigade, which he commanded, stressed at the today’s commemoration that his life and work must not be forgotten.

Colonel Milenko Pavlovic was a pilot in the Yugoslav Forces and the Commander of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment. He was born on 5th October 1959 in Gornje Crniljevo. He completed the Military High School Marsal Tito in Mostar, and completed the Aviation Academy in Zadar. He became the Commander of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment in 1988. He died on 4th May 1999, leaving a wife and two sons.
