General Dikovic visited the SAF members in the mission in Lebanon



The delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces, headed by Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic has visited the members of the SAF infantry company deployed in the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, in the formation of the Spanish battalion.

General Dikovic met with Commander of Sector East Brigadier General Antonio Ruiz Olmos, with whom he discussed the current political security situation in this sector and the deployment of the SAF members. Company Commander Captain Ivan Jovanovic reported to General Dikovic about the deployment of the SAF infantry company. Chief of General Staff then visited the zone of operation of the Spanish battalion and acquired direct information about the specificities of tasks in this mission.

A total of 177 SAF members are currently deployed in the UNIFIL mission. Within Sector East of this mission, there is an infantry company of 130 SAF members and 7 SAF officers with command duties at the Sector Command.
