Minister Gasic at the Fourth Moscow Conference on International Security
Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic heads the MoD and SAF delegation during an official visit to Moscow for attending the 4th Moscow conference on international security, April 16-17, 2015. It will be attended by many defence ministers, foreign guests, and representatives of international organizations and the academic public of the Russian Federation.In his address, Minister Gasic spoke about the role of military political instruments in securing regional and global stability and stressed that the Republic of Serbia remains dedicated to a clear and constructive peaceful politics.
- Our contribution to building peace can be seen in significant deployments in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations and the European Union, and in our work on improving regional cooperation – Gasic said.
Discussing one of the most complex and most delicate multilateral tasks of the Republic of Serbia – chairing over OSCE, Gasic stressed that Serbia intends to conduct this responsible task in a transparent, unbiased and objective way, guiding activities of OSCE in all three dimensions, wishing to contribute to revitalization of identity and importance of European security and cooperation.
- Obeying the international law, universal and globally accepted manners in military political aspects of security and consistently conducting the globally accepted commitments and measures for strengthening trust and constructive dialogue are imperative for us and are the only way of establishing national, regional and global security and stability – Minister Gasic stressed.
At he end of his address, Minister Gasic stressed the firm dedication of the Republic of Serbia to respond to numerous security challenges of the modern age and, in cooperation with international partners, based on mutual respect and appreciation, to fully contribute to removing threats on all levels.
This is the third time that the MoD and SAF delegation participates in the work of the Moscow conference.
