Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan signed with Austria
Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Battleship Captain Milan Konjikovac and Defence Attaché of the Republic of Austria in Belgrade Colonel Thomas Ahammer have signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan of the two ministries for 2015.Activities planned for 2015 enable continuation of cooperation in the fields of training and further education, military history, logistics and CBRN.
Battleship Captain Konjikovac said that the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia is particularly interested in exchanging experiences in matters of security and defence aspects of EU accession.
Colonel Ahhamer stressed that the Austrian side is willing to share their practices in security and defence aspects of accession to the European Union and added that there is also possibility for cooperation within the European Defence Agency and EU combat groups.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides confirmed that official meetings between ministers of defence and heads of the general staffs of the two countries are planned for this year.
