Minister of Defence received Ambassador of Algeria
Minister of Defence Braislav Gasic spoke with Ambassador of PDR Algeria Abdelhamid Chebchoub about improving strategic cooperation in the field of defence.Gasic and Chebchoub agreed that the friendly relations between the two countries provide a good foundation for development of bilateral military cooperation. On behalf of the Serbian Government, the Ministry of Defence continues supporting the presence of Serbian companies in Algeria.
Minister of Defence thanked the Ambassador of Algeria on donations for repairing the damage caused by the floods, and for the principled stance and defence of international law in preserving territorial integrity of Serbia.
Gasic stressed that Serbia, as the chairing country over OSCE, will always insist on the importance of resolving issues with agreements and mutual understanding, especially in crisis situations. He also expressed his content with his upcoming visit to Algeria and meeting with Deputy Minister of National Defence and Head of the General Staff of Algeria, Army General Ahmed Gaid Salah in late May this year.
