The Commission for basic investigation of the crash, formed by Air Force and Air Defence Commander has completed its work on determining the causes and circumstances of the crash of HT-48 (Mi-17) aircraft within the given deadline.

The Commission acquired all data based on which it conducted the analysis and reached conclusions.

The report of the Commission with the complete additional documentation will be about 500 pages long and will be submitted tomorrow to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, which required on March 16 the “complete documentation acquired concerning the critical event, primarily the findings of the commissions formed to investigate the causes leading to the crash of the HT-48 aircraft”.

The Commission composed of MoD and SAF members from the Military Technical Institute, Technical Test Center, Aero-medical Institute, Air Force and Air Defence Command, and included specialists from the field of flight safety, aircraft maintenance, flight planning and management, meteorology, aviation engineers, test pilots, aviation technicians for all aircraft systems, specialists of aero-medicine and aviation psychology.
