Serbia wins silver at the international military skiing championship



Women’s ski team of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia won second place in team competition in the giant slalom discipline at the 53rd World Military Skiing Championship in Boden, Sweden.

In singles competition, the best Serbian female skier Nevena Ignjatovic won fourth place. First place in team competition was won by France, while first place in singles competition was won by Tessa Worley from France.

Our colors are also represented by Ensign Radmila Djuric, Lance Corporal Tijana Ilickovic and Cadet Miljana Mitrovic. The team’s trainer is military employee Vojko Petkovic, while the team leader is military employee Stevo Rados.

Members of our team will tomorrow compete in singles competition in the slalom discipline.

The host of the 53rd World Military Championship, held on March 24-28 under the auspices of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) is the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Sweden.
