Preparations for the international futsal cup



At Airport barracks in Sombor, a work meeting was held today by the Organizational Board of the 7th CISM Futsal Cup for Peace that will be held on May 24 – 29, 2015 at football stadiums in Sombor and Apatin. The meeting was chaired by Brigadier General Sinisa Radovic, Chief of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia at CISM, and attended by Dr. Rajko Majstorovic, Head of the West Backa District, Sasa Todorovic, Mayor of Sombor, Dr. Zivorad Smiljanic, President of the Municipality of Apatin, and Lieutenant Colonel Stipan Zlatar, representative of the Commander of the First Training Center. The meeting was focused on activities related to the organization of the cup.

Since 2009, when the cycle of futsal tournaments began in Belgrade between sports teams of armed forces of former Yugoslav republics, the General Secretariat of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) has successfully conducted activities from the UN program “Sports for development and peace”. The success of the first futsal tournament cycle (2009-2015) is based on the support of CISM and FIFA and participation of all those engaged in the program, military sports teams of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia.
