Seven-day commemoration for the helicopter crash victims
Today, at the church service rooms of the General Staff of Serbia, a seven-day commemoration and prayer were held for the members of the Armed Forces and the healthcare center of Novi Pazar tragically killed in the crash of the Mi-17 transport helicopter which crashed on Friday, March 13 near Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport during a search and rescue operation.Chief military priest Captain Sladjan Vlajic who held the service stressed that today’s gathering was an opportunity “to bow down to the sacrifice our brothers made for us”.
- We are all grieved by the affliction, but it also made us reconsider the way we live and work. It has once again been confirmed that the Lord takes the best ones – Captain Vlajic stressed, adding that it is upon all of us not to allow the memory of them dissapear.
According to Captain Vlajic, the forty-day commemoration and prayer will be held for the killed at the church service rooms.
