Gasic and Dacic in Brussels

Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels.

During the meeting at the NATO headquarters, they presented opinions on the development of cooperation with the Alliance after the adoption of the

Addressing the adoption of IPAP, which represents the highest level of cooperation with a partnership country that has not opted for NATO membership, Minister Gasic stressed that Serbia wishes to develop cooperation with the Alliance within the Partnership for Peace, because that contributes to achieving interoperability within the Armed Forces of Serbia, building military capacities for contributing to international peace and stability, and to better bilateral cooperation with NATO members.

For Serbia, participation in the Partnership for Peace represents and optimal frame for achieving security goals and improvement of defence capacities, with retaining the proclaimed policy of military neutrality, Minister Gasic stressed.
