Decree on foundation of Budgetary Fund for arms and military equipment



During the session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia held on March 16, 2015, a Decree on foundation of Budgetary Fund for arms and military equipment has been issued.

As stated in the Decree, financial means from this budget will be allocated from financial means gained through sales of surplus arms and military equipment and disposed mobile items, and a part of the revenue gained by organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia dealing with research, education, development, modernization, overhaul, production and traffic, testing, quality control and codification of arms and military equipment, and meteorological activity, and which retain the character of proprietary revenue, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on budgetary system.

The means will also be allocated from donations, the budget and other sources in accordance with the law, as well as from a part of financial means gained through sales of property from the Master Plan.

Means from the Fund will be used for procurement of equipment for the Armed Forces of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence – arms and military equipment, laboratory and other equipment and for procurement of software, as well as for research, education, development, modernization, overhaul and production of arms and military equipment. The means will also be used for development and maintenance of MoD and SAF capacities and facilities dealing with activities related to equipment procurement aand maintenance of arms and military equipment.
