Minister of Defence congratulates the Statehood Day



In the year when Serbia celebrates 180 years since the adoption of the first Constitution of the Principality of Serbia, and the Armed Forces of Serbia celebrate two centuries since their establishment, the citizens of Serbia have confirmed the will to preserve their sovereignty on their European path. The will of the Serbian people to create the modern Serbian state has made February 15 a special day in the Serbian history.

In spite of complicated conditions, the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia have confirmed in the past period that they always stand by their people. Aside from provided assistance to the citizens, numerous tasks have been realized; great results have been achieved in training and capacitation, and the required level of operative and functional capabilities has been sustained.

I believe that members of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia will continue being an example of good work, of how Serbia should be loved and respected. I congratulate you on your holiday, assured that we will manage to remain a significant factor in new security trends in the region, Europe and the world.
