Students of the Military Grammar School celebrated St. Sava



Ђаци Војне гимназије прославили СавинданMilitary Grammar School in Belgrade marked its slava today – St. Sava’s Day, in honor of Saint Sava, founder of education and the first Serbian archbishop. At the ceremony, attended by rector of the University of Defence Major General Mladen Vuruna, Head of the Military Academy Major General Goran Zekovic, heads of departments at the Ministry of Defence, representatives of the Armed Forces of Serbia, state management and the City, guests were also addressed by representative of the Head of the Military Grammar School Major Miroslav Citic.

Congratulating the school’s slava, Major Citic told the professors and students to continue following the path paved by the greatest Serbian luminary Saint Sava, who replaced his life on court for the mission of enlightenment for him and our people.

The ceremonial cake was cut by Episcope Artemije in the presence of professors and students.

After the ceremonial cake was cut, students of the Military Grammar School staged a performance for the guests, prepared with students of the Sports Grammar School, on the occasion of today’s holiday.
