State Secretary Djordjevic receives Ambassador of Myanmar



State Secretary Djordjevic receives Ambassador of MyanmarState Secretary Zoran Djordjevic today at the Ministry of Defence met with the Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Serbia Cho Tun Aung.

State Secretary Djordjevic talked with the Ambassador Tun Aung about the previous military-economic cooperation in the field of defence and the planned visit of the high military delegation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Serbia in 2015.

At the meeting, mutual interest in establishing stronger cooperation in the field of defence was expressed, which would be institutionalized by signing the Agreement on Defence Cooperation. The Cooperation Agreement would create a legal basis for the realization of all forms of defence cooperation in the future.

At the end of the meeting, State Secretary Djordjevic pointed out the traditional friendship between the two countries and thanked the Ambassador Tun Aung for the principled support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.
