New Year’s gala concert of the Art Ensemble Stanislav Binicki

At the Grand Hall of the Kolarac Foundation, The New Year’s gala concert of the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence Stanislav Binicki was held.

In front of the full hall, accompanied by the Stanislav Binicki Orchestra, performances were given by soloists Tino Favazza, tenor and principal opera artist Snezana Savicic Sekulic, soprano, with conductor Vojkan Borisavljevic.

World-famous tenor, Sicilian Tino Favazza has wowed audiences with his strong voice and positive energy for years. He has organized and held over twenty concerts across Serbia. Aside from being a great singer, Favazza is an extraordinary entertainer, so, during breaks, he addressed the audience in three languages – Italian, English and Serbian.

In tune of the title of the concert – Bella Italia, the repertoire featured well-known Italian melodies – from symphonic, and contemporary music - „O, sole mio“, „Siciliana“, „Caruso – Il Mondo“, „Non ti scordar di me“, „L’Italiano“, „Volare“ and many others. As expected, the concert was ended with the song „E adesso addio“ (And now, addio).

Two cheerful encores followed, as fitted for the pre-holiday atmosphere.
