Minister of Defence in Lucani
Works on clearing up shores of the Bjelica River which threatened to flood again the area of the special purpose factory “Milan Blagojevic” several days ago are nearly finished. This was confirmed by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic who visited Lucani today where over 20 members of the Second Army Brigade have worked since Wednesday on removing vegetation on the right shore of Bjelica and building the embankment dams. After visiting the spot where SAF members are repairing the bank of Bjelica, Minister Gasic visited production sites of the special purpose factory “Milan Blagojevic” and spoke with the employees.
In his media address after the tour, Minister Gasic stressed the importance of the factory for the entire special purpose industry of Serbia, since, as he said, “that is where it all begins”. He said that a lot had been done on repairing objects and production drives, and that significant cooperation had been established with the Armed Forces of Serbia in 2014.
- Cooperation between all the seven special purpose factories is remarkable. This is why are were there when it comes to protecting “Milan Blagojevic”, because we can no longer allow for this factory to stop – Minister said. He conveyed his expectation that the factory will continue working well and that 100 new workplaces will be opened next year.
Director of “Milan Blagojevic” Rados Milovanovic stated that Minister Gasic is very familiar with the situation at the factory and its business moves.- This Government and this Ministry do not promise a lot, but what they promise, they fulfill. Without the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence, we would not have coal, the factory would stop and so would many special purpose factories. For fifty years, no one has cleared Bjelica, and now, this has been done as well – Milovanovic reminded. He particularly stressed that, this year, the Ministry of Defence has done great work with special purpose factories. A great part of this, as Director said, was at the factory in Lucani, and he thanked for that.
Minister Gasic was in Lucani four days ago as well, when he met with the factory’s management staff and visited the endangered spots.
