Minister Gasic in Majdanpek

Minister of Defence Minister Gasic visited today the citizens of Majdanpek and members of the Armed Forces of Serbia deployed in the city, helping the local residents.

On this occasion, Minister of Defence handed the officials of the municipality the aggregates for the residents that have not had electric power for days. He said that the Republic of Serbia had been hit by numerous natural disasters this year, but that SAF members were always by their people.

- This morning, three SAF aggregates to Majdanpek, and five more should arrive by the end of the day. We will have 7000 loaves of bread arrive to Majdanpek, we have provided for food and we will also provide a kitchen that will prepare warm beverages. Aggregates will be used at the kindergarten, so that

parents can leave their children somewhere safe. The aggregate at the Medical Center was not functional, but has been repaired – Minister of Defence said.

He thanked the residents of Majdanpek for their patience and to employees at “Elektromreza Srbije”, because the circumstances in which electric power should be supplied are rather difficult.

Minister Gasic also met with representatives of the local self-government, of the Red Cross and other city organizations at the building of the Municipality of Majdanpek.
