Meeting of State Secretary Djordjevic and Ambassador of Pakistan



State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic spoke today with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Mahmod about current political and security topics.

It has been stated that cooperation between Serbia and Pakistan is based on traditionally good and friendly relations, which is characterized by mutual readiness to intensify and improve political dialogue and enhancement of overall cooperation.

State Secretary Djordjevic said that the steps our country is taking on its path towards reconciliation in the region are often complex, but that Serbia will endure and that it has decided to be the main factor of stability in the Western Balkans.

He added that Serbia will chair over OSCE in 2015, which is a great honor for our country but is also a great responsibility, considering the fact that serious crisis and conflicts are present around the world.

- The Republic of Serbia is also recognized by the United Nations as the leader, being the greatest contributor to multinational operations of UN in the region and the eighth in Europe – Djordjevic concluded.
