Visit from Head of the Joint Staff of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Discussing the importance of today’s visit, General Dikovic assessed that the current military cooperation between the two countries is at a high level, stressing that it is an important segment of the overall cooperation between Balkan countries. Head of the General Staff stressed that today’s talks and future joint activities will contribute to improvement of bilateral military cooperation to the satisfaction and interest of both the Armed Forces of Serbia and Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have a remarkably developed Center for demining and unexploded arms of a regional character which can also serve for training of our members, and the Armed Forces of Serbia have significant capacities in the field of CBRN – General Dikovic said, stressing that the Military Academy and the Military Medical Academy and the South base also have capacities that could serve for training of staff and units from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Discussing the present cooperation, Head of the General Staff particularly stressed the importance of military economic cooperation,
stating that special purpose industries of the two countries rely on each other, so that there is possibility for joint participation in a third market.General Jelec stressed that, during the visit, mention will be given to results of the cooperation between the militaries and the possibilities for its further enhancement. He stressed that the centers and developed capabilities for training that exist in one country will not be developed in the other one as well, but that the capacities will be exchanged and mutually used/ Head of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina stressed that the recent natural disasters that had hit the entire region practically showed how countries can work together on rescuing people, material goods and flood relief.
During their two-day visit to Serbia, the delegation of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina will visit the Military Academy and meet with cadets and officers that are at further training in our country. They will also visit the Military Museum at Kalemegdan, the 204th Air Brigade and the Aeronautical Institute “Moma Stanojlovic”.
