Exchange of practices in the field of defence planning
Delegation of the Sector for Strategic Planning of the Directorate of Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia comprised of Head of the Strategic Planning Sector Pavel Vuk, M. Sc and Head of the department of Planning (J-5) of the General Staff of Slovenia Captain Peter Papler visited the Department for Strategic Planning of the Sector of Defence Policy.The goal of the visit was to exchange information and practices in defence planning, and discussing possibilities for further cooperation in that field.
Both sides presented the results of the defence system reform, systems of defence planning with an overview of the processes, levels, carriers, structure and the content of the documentation, and the acquired experience in application of the system of defence planning. Moreover, they presented methods, tools and techniques used in defence planning. They have also discussed the incapacitation of staff for the needs of defence planning of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Slovenia. It has been agreed on continuing the practice of periodical meetings on the expert level, and to improve the cooperation with invitations to events and seminars in the field of defence planning, and organization of thematic visits.
