Prime Minister and ministers visited Tekija



Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, accompanied by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic, Minister without Portfolio in Charge of Emergency Situations Velimir Ilic and Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, visited Tekija which had suffered great damage during the floods in September.

Prime Minister and the ministers were informed on the state of construction works on reconstruction of houses and infrastructure in the town. Vucic stated that no one will be left without state aid and that it will be fairly distributed, and that he will visit Tekija again to see the state therein. He invited the local self-government to create a precise list and control the handover of 637 appliances for Tekija and other places damaged in the September floods in this part of Serbia which him and ministers of the Government provided from personal assets.

In the previous period, SAF members have been deployed in flood relief.

In Tekija, around 150 houses have been damaged during the floods and their reconstruction is under way, while five houses have been completely demolished and new ones will be constructed. Elementary School “Svetozar Radic” has been damaged by the floods and by spring it should be completely reconstructed and ready for pupils that currently attend their classes in Kladovo.
