Day of the Military Medical Center Novi Sad marked

With a ceremonial academy at the Grand Hall of the Serbian Military Club in Novi Sad, members of the Military Medical Center Novi Sad marked today the 228th anniversary and November 11, Day of the Center.

Greeting the guests, Colonel Bratoljub Brkljaca, Head of this military medical institution, said that, per year, around 1500 surgeries are conducted in that hospital, over 100 thousand exams and diagnostic processes, over 3000 patients are provided hospital care and there have been no cases of hospital epidemics in 228 years of its existence.

- Although the number of employees and hospital beds does not make this a large institution, by its work and years of experience, it has the right to say that a hospital’s size is not in the number of beds, or the number or size of walls and roofs, not even in pieces of its equipment, but, first and foremost, in the quality and value of people working in it, their loyalty and love for the work they do – Head of the Military Medical Center Novi Sad said.

The ceremony of marking the Day of MMC Novi Sad was also attended by Brigadier General Zoran Popovic, Head of the Healthcare Department at the Ministry of Defence and Brigadier General Stojan Batinic, First Army Brigade Commander, heads of military medical institutions from Belgrade and Nis, Sinisa Sevic, President of the Assembly of the City of Novi Sad, representatives of MoD and SAF units, regional and city governments, Serbian Orthodox Church, social and cultural life of the province and the city.
