Concert on the occasion of the Day of the First Brigade



In the wake of marking November 9, Day of the First Army Brigade, an artistic program has been performed for members of the Brigade, their families and invitees at the Military House in Novi Sad.

After the opening word of Brigadier General Stojan Batinic, Commander of the First Brigade, in the first part, the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binicki”, conducted by Major Igor Mitrovic, presented itself with performances of well-known marches and folklore dances, Oficirsko and Tobdzijsko kolo, Marches of King Aleksandar, King Petar and Voivode Stepa. In the second part of the program, the long salve of applause from the audience greeted the performance of old Serbian songs Marsirala Kralja Petra, Tamo Daleko and March on the Drina.

The renowned male choir “Milenko”also gave a performance, with conductor David Tihojevic, with performances of several clerical numbers.

With the monologue of Lieutenant Tasic from the play by Dusan Kovacevic “Sveti Georgije ubiva azdahu”, actor Miodrag Petrovic, ace of the Serbian National Theatre from Novi Sad also presented himself to the audience, and performances were also given by actors from the TV series “Drzavnip osao” Dimitrije Banjac, Nikola Skoric and Dejan Cirjakovic.
