Joint Serbian-Angolan Committee for cooperation in the field of defence
Delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Brigadier General Prof. Zoran Popovic, MD, Head of the Department for Military Healthcare, Deputy Co-President of the Serbian part of the Joint Committee and the President of the Subcommittee for Military Medical Cooperation visited the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Angola, on October 29-31.
The MoD Delegation included representatives of “Jugoimport – SDPR” Company, “Planum” Company, “Nelt Group” and “Jomil Group”.During their visit, the MoD Delegation was received by Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Republic of Angola General Jorge Barros Nguta, State Secretary for material resources and infrastructure General Salviano de Jesus Sequeira Kianda and Director of the National Direction for international relations and military cooperation General Jose Luis Higino de Sousa ''Ze Grande''.
During the plenary session and the meetings of subcommittees for military-to-military, military economic, military medical and military educational cooperation, they have defined concrete propositions and measures that need to be taken by both sides in order to further improve the cooperation in the field of defence.
During their stay, the MoD Delegation also visited the Main Military Hospital and the Military Historical Museum in Luanda and the 101st Armoured Brigade in Funda.
