Minister of Defence received Ambassador of Iraq
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic and the Ambassador of Iraq Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada discussed improving the cooperation between the two countries. They agreed that the traditionally good relations represent a great foundation for development of the entire bilateral cooperation. Gasic thanked the Iraqi Ambassador for Iraq’s strong support for defending principles of the International Law and preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.Iraq is Serbia’s strategic partner in the field of military economic cooperation, Gasic stated, adding that the objective is to also expand military educational and military medical cooperation, in accordance with the defined legal frame. The Ministry of Defence will strive to also affirm various forms of economic cooperation through the field of defence, Gasic stressed, reminding that some of the important infrastructural objects in this country were once build by our companies.
Congratulating Abdulsada on the forming of the new Government, Minister Gasic stressed the importance of continuity of high-level visits, and expressed his joy that the new Minister of Defence of Iraq is Khaled al Obeidi, who studied in Serbia.
