Concert of the "Binicki" Ensemble in Nis
The Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binicki” held a concert at the Military House in Nis.
Conducted by Major Igor Mitrovic, military musicians performed numbers from the national and international musical heritage, traditional musical pieces, military marches and evergreen numbers.The concert of the “Binicki” Ensemble was held in the course of the ceremony of marking the Day of the Third Army Brigade – October 7 and the Day of Armored Units. On this occasion, an exhibition of documents that portray the war path of the Iron Regiment was held at the Hall of the Military House.
- It is a tradition that the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence performs for the Day of the Third Brigade, and this is not a coincidence. The Brigade and the Orchestra are deeply connected, since Stanislav Binicki composed “March on the Drina” to honor Commander of the Iron Regiment Milivoj Stojanovic Boka, who led the regiment to march in the Battle of Kolubara and was killed”, Third Army Brigade Commander Brigadier General Zelimir Glisovic said, reminding of the life and work of Stanislav Binicki and his attachment to the Iron Regiment, the unit whose tradition the Third Brigade follows.
