Foreign military officials visited the booth of Media Center Odbrana
Foreign military officials accredited in Belgrade visited today the booth of the Media Center Odbrana at the 59th International Belgrade Book Fair. They were greeted by the Director of this military publishing house Colonel Stevica S. Karapandzin, who presented the activities of Media Center Odbrana and the releases published in the period between two Book Fairs.Out of 70 books published prior to this year’s Fair, Colonel Karapandzin presented 12 new works, including “Rulers of Serbian Lands” by Colonel Milivoje Pajovic, MSc, “Hagiographies of Warrior Saints” by Colonel Borsilav Grozdic, PhD, “Young Bosnia” by Radoslav Gacinovic, PhD, “The Rankovic Case – From KOS Archives” by a group of authors, “1914-2014 Why Review” by Mile Bjelajac, PhD, “Serbian Military Ambulance in the Great War” and others.
Director of Odbrana Media Center also presented the official 2015 calendar of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia, dedicated to the centenary of the Battle for Belgrade in 1915.
Defence attaché of Greece Colonel Antonios Kostakis complimented the publishing activity of Media Center Odbrana and said that it encompasses a wide range of literature.
- You can find everything about military history, military arms and military topics in general here. Today, I bought a book “Serbian Military Ambulance in the Great War” which describes the relation between Serbia and Greece, and Serbian stay at Corfu. The book is in Serbian, which will help me learn your language as soon as possible – Colonel Kostakis said.
