Visit from the Delegation of the Austrian Military Medical Team to the MMA
The Delegation of the Medical Service of the Ministry of Defence and Sports of Austria visited today the Military Medical Academy. On this occasion, Head of the Military Medical Academy Brigadier General Prof. Marijan Novakovic, MD and Head of the Military Medical Department General Robert Hoffman, MD discussed the continuation of successful cooperation, which was particularly marked by the course of war surgery that was attended by Austrian military doctors at the MMA two years ago. Moreover, they discussed the experiences of medical teams in peacekeeping operations.
General Novakovic particularly stressed the importance of the visit of the Austrian Delegation
in the year when the military medical institution marks 170 years since its foundation, and General Hoffman expressed special interest for the education system at the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, assessing that there is a lot in common with the education system of his country.In the further course of today’s visit, the Austrian Delegation also visited the Radiology Institute, Medical Research Institute and the Pharmacy Sector.
