Binicki Ensemble and Manjifiko held a concert in Sava Center

The Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binicki” and the most well-known Slovenian performer Rober Pesut, better known as Manjifiko held the long-awaited concert in Sava Center tonight.

After their tour in Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland, during which they promoted the music for the films “Montevideo, God Bless You” and “Montevideo, See You”, the artists performed in front of the Belgrade audience. Special guest at the concert was renowned Spanish singer Luz Casal.

Before the tonight’s concert, Manjifiko said that this performance was emotionally the most important for all the musicians on the stage.

- There is positive tension among us and we can’t wait to get to the stage – the Slovenian musician said.

According to Ensemble conductor Major Igor Mitrovic, this is “the crown of all the concerts”.

- The atmosphere among the musicians is the best so far, because we are finally at our home field, and I am sure that this atmosphere will help making this concert extraordinary – Major Mitrovic said.

The repertoire was composed of the music from the latest album by Manjifiko, which included numbers from one of the most watched films of the Serbian cinematography in the last two decades. With numerous compositions such as “Bum bum“,“Ubiću te“,“Pukni zoro“,“Zum zum kolo“,“Pinja kolada“,“Srpska posla“,“Samo malo“ and others, the audience enjoyed for almost two hours.

As a surprise guest appearance, during the composition “Rambo”, musician Rambo Amadeus, to whom Manjifiko, his godfather, dedicated this song, joined them on the stage. After a call for an encore, the musicians performed three more compositions.

The concert was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the film crew, various political and public personas and vast audience.

Two years ago, the musicians performed together at the Lent Summer Festival in Maribor, and they have held concerts in several European countries since November 2013.
