Acro Group "Strizi" press conference
Representatives of the Air Force and Air Defence of the Armed Forces of Serbia and the acro group “Strizi” of Air Defence of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation held today a joint press conference at Batajnica Airport on the occasion of tomorrow’s military parade “March of the Victorious”.After practicing a part of the program that will be performed at the parade, Brigadier General Predrag Bandic, Commander of the 204th Air Force Brigade invited all citizens to attend the tomorrow’s ceremony in honor of marking a significant jubilee in the history of the Serbian people.
- It is my honor and a great pleasure to have “Strizi” with us today and that they will contribute to making the tomorrow’s event more magnificent – General Bandic stressed while presenting his colleagues from the Russian Air Force. He also pointed out that around 40 aircrafts of the Air Defence of the Armed Forces of Serbia will take part in tomorrow’s program.
Head of the Russian acro group Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Osjajkin, speaking on behalf of the eight-member crew that had arrived to the Serbian capital with six aircrafts, reminded of the importance of marking 70 years since liberation of Belgrade from Fascist forces, and of many victims among the partisans and Russian soldiers that had taken part in that liberation.Announcing the tomorrow’s flying program prepared for the visitors of the parade, Lieutenant Colonel Osjajkin stressed that two variants have been prepared, depending on the weather and cloudiness.
- If the bottom level of clouds is above 1,800 meters, we will perform a number of acrobatic figures, horizontal and vertical, including the “bell” – Lieutenant Colonel Osjajkin stated, adding that the pilots of the acro group “Strizi” are honored to attend the parade on the occasion of 70 years since the liberation of Belgrade from Fascism, thus paying their respects and gratitude to the people who had given their lives for the freedom of all of us.
