Minister of Defence at the marking of the Day of Liberation of Krusevac

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic attended today the marking of October 14, the Day of Liberation of Krusevac in the First and Second World War.

On this occasion, Minister Gasic laid wreaths at the Monument to Heroes of Kosovo, Monument to Fallen Fighters 1912-1918 and at the Monument to Fighters of the Red Army on Rasina that were killed while liberating Krusevac in October 1944. Wreaths were also laid by Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic, representatives of the local self-government and veteran organizations.

Ministers Gasic and Udovicic also visited the athletic stadium under construction which could next year become the place where the sports youth of Krusevac, especially athletics and football players, could train and compete.

Minister Gasic complimented the work of the local self-government and companies that helped build this sports object and stressed that the City of Krusevac provided the smallest part of the funds, and that the major part was provided by donators. Gasic stressed that the Government’s goal is to “bring the youth from coffeehouses back to sports fields”.
