Visit to the Military Police Special Operation Battalion "Cobras"



Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Head of the General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic visited today the Military Police Special Operation Battalion "Cobras" at “Vasa Carapic” barracks in Banjica, and Head of the Military Police Department Brigadier general Dejan Jankovic and Commander of “Cobras” Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Dobric attended the tour.

After the tour of this unit’s training center, Minister Gasic stressed that, during today’s meeting, they discussed procurement of equipment for the most elite unit of the Armed Forces of Serbia, in order to provide everything missing by 2015 and so they could continue doing their work professionally, skillfully and devotedly, as they have so far.

On this occasion, members of “Cobras” displayed a part of their capabilities, their applied combat, securing persons and the arms and equipment they possess.

Military Police Special Operation Battalion "Cobras" is an elite unit of our military, directly subordinate to the Military Police Department of the General Staff, which conducts most responsible tasks from the domain of security protection of highest state and military staff, secures foreign state and military delegations, conducts tasks of anti-diversion protection of certain persons and other military police tasks.
