Meeting of State Secretaries Djordjevic and Iilonga

State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic met today with Abraham Iilonga, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Namibia.

The interlocutors agreed that political relations of the two countries are traditionally good and friendly, without the burden of any open issues.

State Secretary Djordjevic stressed that it is necessary to keep improving and developing cooperation in the field of defence which is reflected in military medical and military educational cooperation – in education of Namibian cadets at our military educational institutions.

- We see the focal point of cooperation with the Republic of Namibia in the future period in military education and training, military economic cooperation and its gradual expansion to fields of maintenance and reparation of means, projection and construction of objects and infrastructure, and in the field of military medicine – Djordjevic pointed out.

The Cooperation Agreement between the Serbian and Namibian Governments was signed in 2010, and it represents the legal frame for development of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
