Military futsal team won 4th place at the 6th CISM FUTSAL CUP FOR PEACE



“6. CISM FUTSAL CUP FOR PEACEThe futsal team of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia won 4th place at the 6th CISM FUTSAL CUP FOR PEACE which was held in Sarajevo on September 21-26. In the match for the third place, our team was defeated by the team of Montenegro, with the score of 6:2. The organizer of the tournament was Bosnian Defence Ministry under the auspices of the International Council for Military Sports (CISM).

Winner of the tournament was the hosting team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who defeated last year’s winner, the Croatian team, 5:2.

CISM FUTSAL CUP FOR PEACEBefore the final match, a meeting was held in Sarajevo with CISM officials about the continuation of realization of the second round of the CISM project Futsal Cup for Peace. The meeting was attended by officials of all 6 countries of the Former Yugoslav Republic, and the Republic of Serbia was represented by Brigadier General Sinisa Radovic, Chief of the Delegation and Colonel Dragan Todorov, member of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to the CISM.

During the meeting, it has been suggested that the Republic of Serbia should host the 7th CISM Futsal Cup for Peace, and the official presentation of the initiative and the decision will be made at the European CISM Conference which will be held in Athens in October.
