Dress rehearsal for ceremony of promotion of new Serbian Armed Forces officers

Tonight, in front of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, dress rehearsal for the ceremony of promotion of the youngest Serbian Armed Forces officers was held. The last test parade before the tomorrow's official promotion of the Military Academy graduates was attended by Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Ljubisa Dikovic.

A total of 220 male and female cadets of the 135th class of the Military Academy and a cadet who graduated at the Military Academy in the Republic of Greece dressed tonight their cadet uniforms for the last time and with the drum of the Representative Orchestra of the Guard paraded on the plateau from which the traditional second lieutenant's caps will fly up tomorrow.

The ceremony starts tomorrow, on 13th September at 17:30 pm and will be attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic, state and military leadership, as well as many guests from home and abroad.

Ceremonial parade of young officers and cadets of the Military Academy will be flown over by planes and helicopters of the Serbian Air Force, the Guard will perform drill, and Representative Orchestra of the Guard and the Stanislav Binicki Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence will perform at the ceremony.
