Delegation of Ministry of Defence of Italy visiting Serbia
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic met with Enzo Stefanini, the National Armaments Director of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Italy, and stated that the bilateral relations of the two countries are traditionally friendly, and that cooperation in the field of defence is developed.Gasic and Stefanini stated that the main fields of cooperation are education and further training, training of special units and teams for removal of unexploded ordnance, air defence, intelligence and reconnaissance activities and military medical cooperation. It has also been stated that intensifying military economic cooperation is of mutual interest.
During the meeting, it has been concluded that bilater
al-defence consultations, planned to take place by the end of the year in Rome, will contribute to determining guidelines and further steps of cooperation, and to adjustments of the Plan of Bilateral Military Cooperation for 2015.The delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Italy also visited the Military Technical Institute where capacities of the defence industry of our country and its development potential were presented to them. During the visit, a program of joint projects was also suggested and possibilities of a joint appearance on third markets were presented.
