A day with persons with disabilities
Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities “Pobednik”, in cooperation with members of the Riverine Flotilla of the Armed Forces of Serbia, organized today a manifestation titled “Games without boundaries and prejudice” at sports fields of the Second Riverine Squad of SAF, at Usce, Belgrade.During sports competitions in football, basketball, boules, darts, arm-wrestling and tugging rope, in a friendly spirit, around 150 participants took part, including persons with disabilities, members of the Riverine Flotilla, but also pilots from the 204th Air Defence Brigade from Batajnica, representatives of River Police and pupils of Elementary School “Laza Kostic” from Belgrade.
Commander of the Second Riverine Squad Major Smiljan Ruzic stressed that today’s manifestation is a result of a long-lasting and good cooperation of the Armed Forces of Serbia and those gathered around the Association “Pobednik”.- We played, socialized, and that is what matters the most. At no time did anyone think about victory. What we witnessed today was the best confirmation of the well-known saying “Participating is all that matters”, because that truly was the most important thing – Major Ruzic said.
